Narrative, or book, illustration is my focus. Here are a few samples indicative of my range of style. Most are published, a few are just for funsies.
As an illustrator, I get great artistic fulfillment in bringing children's books to life. Growing up, I always enjoyed the books with the best pictures. To this day, I believe a good illustration will tell the story as much as the text.
I've worked with many self-published authors in my career. There is a pureness, a freshness, in working directly with the author of the story. If you are one of these independent writers, and you have a story you'd like illustrated, contact me and I'll try to help visualize your creation.
Of course, if you're an Editor or Art Director or some such creative type, I would enjoy working with you just as well. I play no favorites when it comes to making art!

Here are some pieces that illustrate various opinions, viewpoints, and stances.
Love 'em or hate 'em, everybody's got an opinion, even artists!
The bulk of my design work is logo generation. A rebel part of my illustrator brain actually enjoys creating a visual identity for clients. Logos and letterhead suites are a welcome break when I want to create on a different level.
Here are some pieces pulled from my sketchbook, some traditional, some digital. These unfinished pieces might be the seedbed for future illustrations. Some I’ve done to help me puzzle through a layout, pose or characterization.
Sketching is an important discipline to any artist.. It helps with confidence and idea flow. Admittedly, I probably need to do it more than I do.
